Simplicity is the key word for the planting in West Green House’s Chicken Garden. In fact it is a geometric parterre infilled with water tanks in which water lilies float. This makes a low rug before the fanciful cage of Pekin chickens, designed by Quinlan Terry, with the willow pattern murals the work of Marcus Wiliamson.
The garden walls are covered with just white roses, R.Rambling Rector, R.Seagull, R.Long John Silver and topiary chickens in clipped box guard the entire garden.
