Apple Weekend

Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October
11am to 4pm
In the Greenhouse and Gardens
Over the centuries apple trees have been planted in profusion in the gardens so we have hundreds of apples to give away.
A FREE BAG OF APPLES FOR EVERY FAMILY All harvested from our own trees
The experts from Sparsholt College return to display their heritage apple collection and answer all questions about apple growing. For the children there is a Johnny Appleseed trail and quiz sheet to ‘identify’ apples and the tearoom has a menu filled with good apple-based dishes. Simon is operating the fresh apple juice press in the Green House, and this is a fine time to see the garden at its autumn best.
Normal garden conditions Adults £12 / Child £6
Free for RHS and NT members upon presentation of a valid membership card
The Johnny Appleseed trail is £5 per Child plus garden entry and please pre-book the trail.
The trail and quiz sheet with a small bag of sweets, is for children only. Accompanying adults enter free with NT or RHS cards or need to pay entrance on the day.
