Discover the magic of our kilometre-long Illuminated Trail, passing lakes and gardens to discover the magical creatures and fairy folk who inhabit our favourite ‘Once Upon a Time’ stories.
Discover perhaps The Frog Prince, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid, Hansel and Gretel, and many, many more – including a little castle of lights!
Christmas Tree Waffles, Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows, Steaming Hot Mulled Wine, baby roast potatoes, locally made sausages and lots of good Christmas foods will be available from locations throughout the garden.
** Meet the Animals – All Dressed for Christmas **
Exclusively on 28th & 29th November, 5th, 6th, 12th & 13th December
Everyone, including our animal friends, wishes to celebrate at Christmas! They are visiting us at West Green House this Christmas, dressed up in their holiday best to greet you and the family.
Handlers will be with the animals to assist the children with petting them and enjoying this delightful experience.
* Admission to the Petting Zoo is included for ‘Once Upon a Time’ ticket holders on the above set dates.
* Petting Zoo closes at 8pm.

This is a special event and is not free to National Trust or RHS members.
Essential Carer Tickets
One free Essential Carer ticket is available where a guest requires dedicated 1:1 support due to a disability.
For children (under 16), a parent or guardian is expected to accompany and supervise them as part of normal parental responsibility. A Carer ticket would only apply where a child requires additional 1:1 support over and above that ordinarily provided by a parent or guardian.

– Middle or Higher rate Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for care and/or mobility
– Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
– Evidence of being severely sight impaired (blind)

– Blue Badge, Carer ID, or similar supporting documents.
